The role of Education Agents
An education agent is defined in the Code as a person, body, or organisation acting on behalf of a signatory in relation to any aspect of their international learners' enrolment and study, including accommodation, and includes a subcontracted agent. - NZQA, 2024

Onslow College is a signatory to The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021, developed by the Ministry of Education. Onslow College expects that the Education Representative(s) have read The Education (Pastoral Care of Tertiary and International Learners) Code of Practice 2021, and agrees to comply with it.

New Zealand Qualifications Authority is the Code Administrator and monitors the quality of international student care and support under the international Code across all levels of the education sector, from schools to universities.

The quality of the students who enrol at Onslow College is a central strength to the school. Our strongest possible expectation would be that the students recruited are of good character and will be diligent students, willing to participate in the fuller life of the school, as well as pursuing their academic studies.
