Our Arts students have also shone brightly, with our two choirs—Ngā Manu Tīoriori and Ngā Waipāhīhī—both winning Gold medals at the MEFA (Musicworks Ensemble Festival Aotearoa) Awards, alongside a Silver medal for our Big Band.
Year 13 Music Students accepted into competitive tertiary programmes for 2026:
Maggie Elder got into Auckland, Canterbury and New Zealand School of Music (NZSM) for Classical Performance (Clarinet) and they have decided to go to NZSM.
Simone Tabilli got into the musical theatre programme at NASDA in Christchurch.
Jennah Mexted got into the Jazz Vocal Programme at Auckland University and NZSM and she has decided to go to Auckland University.
