Ngā Manu Tioriori – all-comers choir
Onslow has an all-comers choir that is open to any student who is keen to sing. We sing a wide range of music in 3 or 4 part harmony that caters for all voice types. No prior experience or music reading ability is required. This year the choir will attend the Big Sing Choral Festival in June, be part of our Matariki celebrations and participate at the MEFA festival at the end of the year. Ngā Manu Tioriori meets on Mondays in M2 in the Music Department. Our first meeting for 2026 will be Monday 9th Feb. Come along to find out more!

Studio Orchestra
We are looking at creating a Studio Orchestra for the years ahead to play at festivals, school events and to be part of a potential exciting project in 2027!
A studio orchestra is an ensemble of instrumentalists that plays a wide range of music including classical, jazz, funk, music theater and film with odd original composition. We are looking for anyone who plays woodwind, brass or strings (bowed) to form the body of this ensemble. To fill out the ensemble we are also looking for 2 guitarists, a second bass player, a second keys/piano player, and a second drummer/percussionist to fill out our back line. Studio Orchestra will meet on Wednesdays lunchtime in M2, starting date to be confirmed. Interested? Contact, Justin Pearce, SL Music, justin.pearce@onslow.school.nz
