Alex Bull (Yr 12) has made the second round cut to represent NZ in the Geography Olympiad. After doing an online test he was selected as one of the top 50 Geographers in Aotearoa New Zealand from a group of 173 Yr 12 students nationwide. The next stage for selection down to 10 students is a written exam. Good luck Alex!

Congratulations also to Thomas Donovan (9TMI) who won the Geography Awareness Week Ponderous Puzzle in the library. By Wednesday he had correctly worked out that Benin, Strait of Gibraltar, and Levin were the answers. Also congratulations to Peter Chapman and Amanda Roberts-Pow who won the staff competition – also by Wednesday!
