We had a fantastic turnout for our first ngahere working bee of the year on Sunday 22nd February. The team rolled up their sleeves to tackle blackberry and weeds, finishing off with a fresh layer of mulch to give our young forest plants the best start possible. The restoration area is looking truly well-loved!
It’s amazing to see the progress:
New life: Fresh flowers, fruit, and foliage are appearing everywhere.
Biodiversity: We’re seeing more birds, lizards, and insects calling this area home.
Impact: Our kura forest is busy storing carbon and boosting local biodiversity as it grows.
Want to join the crew?
Our next working bee is Sunday, 22 March (9:00 AM – 11:00 AM). Everyone is welcome.
