Year 12 students Abby Steward and Olivia Martin, have won an impressive Bronze medal at the annual Maadi Cup Rowing Regatta in the Girls U16 2X (double sculls).
The girls had a spectacular run in 4 races from heats to the finals improving their time overall by 23 seconds. If you get a chance to watch the Livestream, it really is an exciting race in which they won the 3rd place convincingly over Wakatipu High School for the bronze, keeping cool under pressure. The Onslow College Maadi crew had an outstanding regatta, competing in 2 x B finals and 2 x A finals, some impressive individual results plus the bronze medal. We can be very proud of our whole rowing team, coaches, and parents for the commitment and training required to achieve these results. Go Onslow!
