It’s been an incredible term for our Year 9 students participating in the SSEP programme, and we’re impressed with the enthusiasm they’ve shown. This programme is the first of its kind for a Wellington secondary school, and it’s already a huge success.
Our students are getting a opportunities to see how what they learn in the classroom applies to the real world. They’re engaging with professionals and gaining valuable insights into potential career paths, answering the age-old question, “Why are we learning this?”
We want to extend a massive thank you to our Term 3 business partners:
- Deloitte helped students tackle numbers, percentages, prime numbers, and decimals.
- Aquaheat brought shapes and volumes to life.
- TBI Health provided real-world context for statistics.
- Sky Stadium (coming up this term) will offer experience with measurement.
A special thanks to our incredible Maths teachers and Careers Team for their dedication and hard work. We are also incredibly grateful to all the businesses for their time and effort in giving back to our community.
Looking ahead to Term 4, we’re excited to partner with:
- Wellington City Council
- Westpac
- Burger Fuel
- Naylor Love Construction
