On Wednesday 18th March, we welcomed a large group of training organisations into our Kura for our inaugural Vocational Careers Expo.
If you have ever had a haircut, got your car fixed, had your house repaired or painted, brought some designer clothing or jewellery, or had to get your toilet unblocked, that was likely done by someone who has had vocational training. Oh, also not to forget our food is grown by people who are likely to have had vocational training. There are many many more examples. It was awesome to see students exploring opportunities with whanau. The training providers were blown away by the number of students and whanau attending. Huge thanks to Peter, Chloe, Fiona, Mark and all our training providers.
We have another event focussed on our Māori and Pacifica ākonga on 9 June. More information will be sent out in Term 2.
