Kia ora e te whānau,

Timetable Consultation We have now finalised what our student timetable will look like for 2025. We appreciate those who have taken the time to communicate their feedback. We collated the feedback, conducted additional research and modelled further iterations before arriving at a revised model. The final report was sent out to our community with a summary of all feedback received.

Nominations are open for the Student Representatives to the Onslow College Board for Term 4 2024 to Term 3 2025. This is open to all students Year 9-12. Information has been sent to all students by email. If one of your students would like to apply, please encourage them to collect a nomination form from Main Reception. Nominations close at midday on Friday 6 September 2024.

Today: Year 13 Wellington Tertiary Open Day – Wellington tertiary providers and training organisations are hosting a range of open days on Friday 23rd August. You can still register with your preferred providers through this link. This is a great opportunity for Year 13 students to research what, and where, they may like to do future study or training. Students need to register directly with the providers and make their own way to and from the events. Parents/caregivers must advise their student’s attendance on SchoolBridge to record a justified absence.

Yr13 Farina Anchico’s passion and talent for football has been recognised with a Tania Dalton Scholarship for Football. She will also be supported by Rebel Sport for the next 3 years. She is provided with one-on-one mentoring support and personal development opportunities. When not playing football or futsal for Onslow, she plays striker and wing for Wellington United. Huge congratulations Farina!

The Winter Tournament Week is coming up in Week 7, during the first week of September. Sports involved are Football, Basketball, Hockey, Netball, Rugby and Badminton. The tournaments for each sport are being held at locations in the North Island. Again, thank you to those who have volunteered your time to coach and manage teams, plus all the fundraising efforts to get there. Go Onslow!

Please reach out to me or any of the Senior Leadership Team if you have any questions.

Nga mihi nui,

Sheena Millar
