Last Friday, 14th August, four of our talented students – Shwancheng Zhang (Yr 10), Thomas Dowman (Yr 10), Sophie Ross (Yr 11), and Amika Wessels (Yr 13) – went up against eight other Wellington secondary schools.
Standing up to deliver an informative speech in a second language is no small feat, and all four represented Onslow with huge courage and confidence. Audience members were treated to speeches on everything from native New Zealand birds and country life to family pets and games.
